CTM Root Crop Systems are well on the way to offering a full range of potato machinery:

CTM Harpley Engineering Limited, the UK’s leading sugar beet cleaner loader manufacturers and importers of ROPA beet harvesters, have been appointed national importers for the Underhaug range of potato harvesters and planters.   

CTM Root Crop Systems was formed in 2007 to diversify into other root crops and is represented by Kevin Butcher, formerly of Reekie Machinery. 

Together with the Zibo haulm topper and bed tillers, shown at Lamma in January, CTM Root Crop Systems are well on their way to offering a full range of potato machinery.  They are now the sole importer for new Underhaug machines for England and Wales, supported by a network of dedicated dealers. Mearns Tractors Ltd will remain the Underhaug importer for Scotland and spare parts will be available until 30th September 2009 from Agrihold Farm Machinery UK Ltd., for their existing customers.

CTM Harpley Engineering is a family business owned and run by the Mountains of Harpley, Norfolk. They are particularly happy to expand their machinery offering with another family business: TKS Mekaniske AS, who produce the Underhaug range. 

“We have looked very hard at the potato machinery market in the UK and the machines available.  Underhaug not only offer a superbly engineered range of equipment but also, and most importantly, a range that suits the UK and its challenging conditions, particularly the need for precision and care of the potato crop” commented CTM’s Sales Director, Nigel Mountain.

CTM will launch their Underhaug range at the UK’s leading agricultural event Cereals in June.
